Girlfriends

As a girl we love to support our friends by getting together and talking it through. It could be a fight with a partner another friend, just not coping or needing a shoulder to cry on. Woman get this off their chest by speaking about it and supporting each other.

This is a good thing because when we speak about it, it helps sort it out. When you are sick and not feeling well. It was important to me to get out and be in the real world. Then you also realise that the world is still spinning and that all the everyday day problems of others are still around. Which is good diverts your own problems.
Michelle, Jackie, Karran, Adelene and Karen took me for lunch's and to the clubs for an outing and it was fun I really looked forward to seeing them.
Marie, Kylie & Jemma we had some parties at Marie's house that was also very fun. We dance and drink bourbon hence to say we are the bourbon girls.
Anne, Zu and Karen took me for drives around to doctors, lunch and shopping.
Cheryl shouted me a lovely night away and lessons on breathing through pain. We stayed at Bells resort. Cheryl is a breast cancer survivor..
Argi and Althea do not live close to me, they offered support on the phone and also by text. There are so many ways of caring, reach out for your friends they are there for you........!

Mastectomy Drain Breast Cancer Treatment

The  purpose of drains after mastectomy  is to drain away the fluid that can gather in the armpit region or around the scar on the chest wall. Some people after mastectomy also find that fluid gathers around the shoulder blade area on their back - this seems more common if the muscle from the back has been used for  breast reconstruction  at the time the mastectomy was done. When mastectomy is done - and especially if the lymph nodes are removed from the axilla or armpit - then there is a lot of tissue fluid and lymph fluid left with no where to go. This fluid normally flows through the lymph channels but if they are cut then it can escape into the normal skin and muscle tissues. Your surgeon will place drains under your skin after mastectomy.
