Celebrity Male Breast Cancer survivor - Peter Criss

Peter Criss

The ex-KISS drummer who penned the power ballad “Beth” is one the few faces of male breast cancer. In the U.S. men account for less than 1 percent of breast cancer cases, and is most often found in men between and 60 and 70 years old, according to the National Cancer Institute. Criss, who was diagnosed in his early 60’s told the Associated Press, "It's not an embarrassing thing -- it's a very important, major thing. You find something wrong, you have to go to see a doctor immediately. It's not going to go away.” Like so many other survivors, Criss found his cancer early and has been cancer-free since finishing treatment in 2008.
