Breast Cancer - recovery 6 surgeries & loosing the plot in a funny way

I thought I would share something to make you laugh today. After surgery you should rest and relax, get those drugs out of your system and sleep.(also drink champagne) Well, this is easy as really that's how you feel, but saying that after 3 days in bed it is time to get up and get your priorites happening. First sponge bath, as you must not get those bandages wet. then clean jama's then we must do the hair and make up. What I have decided for me is every morning, I need hair done, mascara and lipstick even if I am ill. Funny, I can't dump this habit, but when you look good you feel so much better. That's what I have in my head anyway. It works for me. Now for the funny part, as my routine is probably the same for some woman. Sometimes I wish I was not a hair and makeup, dress up girl...lol
No undies on as need to rest those arms and not have the pressure of pulling them up. For 1 week I walked everyday in my jama's. As I am at Pott's Point and the fashion can be ever so crazy and ever so weird, I wore black silk jama's with a coat and ugg boots (I know the vision is appauling). But guess what no one knew and to top it off the shops I go to said, you look well and good how are you? I did not say do you like my PJ's but secrets are fun and even my japanese Pj bottom's red and black still people did not know...

If you knew me, I normally would not be caught dead or around the house like this ever. I am always dressed and well grommed first thing. Of course it was for just a week but now I can say I shopped in my PJ's in my recovery, hey with make up and hair done though.....

In a way, crazy fashion helps us cancer patients hide the facts...

"Hard nipples" - areola or nipple skin

Someone once wrote"... when i get really cold, or get goosebumbs all over my body, the whole things really scrunch up, like, my entire areola scrunches itself up into a wrinkled little mound. it looks really weird and ugly, and i haven't ever seen other people's breasts do it. what is wrong with my areola/nipples??" The answer: Well nothing is wrong. This is what my areola does too. It's a normal reaction to the coldness or to irritation / stimulation. The little muscles in the areola do a similar goosebump thing as your other skin can do. People often call this phenomenon "hard nipples". Also note that skin on areola has less feeling or sensation to it than other areas of your body. If the areola was very sensitive, then breastfeeding would probably be quite uncomfortable because the baby pulls and tugs it! The nipples are sensitive but the sensitivity changes with hormonal changes, such as occur at mestrual cycle or pregnancy. Also this v...

Monumental cleavage alert! Did Natalie Portman get a boob job?

Black Swan Oscar winner Natalie Portman has sparked feverish debate about whether or not she's had a boob job, after she appeared on camera at an American football game looking bustier than before. The 31-year-old, who gave birth to son Aleph in June 2011, was watching the game in Austin, Texas during a break from shooting the as-yet-untitled new Terrence Malick film. With co-star Michael Fassbender by her side, a newly blonde Natalie was spotted by the cameras during the ABC broadcast. While it could very well be a push-up bra, or a consequence of breast-feeding her bub, Twitter fans immediately speculated about the star's potentially enhanced assets. "Natalie Portman @ the Texas-Baylor game ... boob job? Looks like it!" one user wrote. "Wait a second, did Natalie Portman get a boob job? Is she pregnant? On the sidelines of Texas game and #wow," another tweeted. Comments on the YouTube clip ran along the same lines, albeit many of them ...

The four stages of breast development

In Stage 1 shows the flat breasts of childhood. By Stage 2, breast buds are formed as milk ducts and fat tissue develop. In Stage 3, the breast become round and full, and the areola darkens. Stage 4 shows fully mature breasts. (Illustration by GGS Information Services.) period begins. Usually these signs are accompanied by the appearance of pubic hair and hair under the arms. Once ovulation and  menstruation  begin, the maturing of the breasts begins with the formation of secretory glands at the end of the milk ducts. The breasts and duct system continue to grow and mature with the development of many glands and lobules. The rate at which breasts grow varies significantly and is different for each young woman. Breast development occurs in five stages: Stage One: In preadolescence, the breasts are flat and only the tip of the nipple is raised. Stage Two: Buds appear, breast and nipple are raised, fat tissue begins to form and the areola (dark area of skin that ...
