KERRI-ANNE Kennerley has celebrated the end of her radiation treatment for breast cancer in classic KAK-style, singing her lungs out at the album launch of friends Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes.
Looking fit and fabulous in skin-tight jeans and sexy silver top with a plunging back on Wednesday night, Kennerley said she was relieved the six-week course of radiation was over.Inspired by the performance of The Voicecontestants Stevens and Barnes - who were joined by Jimmy Barnes, Diesel and Darren Percival on stage throughout the night - Kennerley also said she would love to return to live singing.
''I'm feeling great and so happy to be finishing the radiation. It is my last treatment,'' she said.
Kennerley gave some credit for her svelte shape to the diet devised by her Dancing With The Starspartner Carmelo Pizzoni.
While you could see her happiness all over her face, there was the shadow of a nasty bruise under her right eye, sustained after she took a tumble at her Woollahra home while trying to carry her beloved dog Harvey up the stairs.
''I had stockinged feet, slipped and we both went down,'' she said.
The vivacious television personality grooved along to the powerhouse performance by Stevens and Barnes, almost out-singing the soulful duo and their big band during some of the tunes from their Come Together duets record.
She cheekily explained she was able to kick up her heels because her husband John was in London on business.
The pair will meet up in Rome on Sunday, with Kennerly contracted to film a series of tourism commercials.
She said she was also exploring further interviews with Seven's Sunday Night program after her recent story on rhinos helped the show to one of its highest ratings of 1.4 million.
''It's a commercial deal with a travel company, not a TV show. I can't wait to get my teeth into more interviews for Seven considering how successful that first one was,'' the evergreen entertainer said.
