Choices of reconstruction after breast cancer

Choices sounds easy doesn't it! It's not really once you decide to have a single or double mastectomy you have to decide to reconstruct. Or not to reconstruct.
If you don't do the skin sparing which is keeping skin to made fake breasts. You have 2 options skin can be taken from the shoulder blades where they will cut circles out to prepare and transplant. Also you could use your stomach. Which they cut a band out. I have seen the back one on a lady at Avoca Beach. NSW. With the surgery only in her 30's she was very happy with her choice. I know lots of ladies from Central Coast and Sydney that have done the stomach and they are happy, so it's perfect to say whichever way you go will be good for you. The hardest thing is decision. Technology also is coming along in leaps and bounds so they are getting really good.

"Hard nipples" - areola or nipple skin

Someone once wrote"... when i get really cold, or get goosebumbs all over my body, the whole things really scrunch up, like, my entire areola scrunches itself up into a wrinkled little mound. it looks really weird and ugly, and i haven't ever seen other people's breasts do it. what is wrong with my areola/nipples??" The answer: Well nothing is wrong. This is what my areola does too. It's a normal reaction to the coldness or to irritation / stimulation. The little muscles in the areola do a similar goosebump thing as your other skin can do. People often call this phenomenon "hard nipples". Also note that skin on areola has less feeling or sensation to it than other areas of your body. If the areola was very sensitive, then breastfeeding would probably be quite uncomfortable because the baby pulls and tugs it!
