Mammogram what is it?

A mammogram is an X-ray of breast tissue that can find changes too small to be felt during a physical examination. A screening mammogram is used to check for breast cancer in women who have no signs or symptoms.

 I remember my first mammogram, squish squish. How can they flatten that breast down like that. Don't worry it's the only part that's uncomfortable. You will know what I mean. Other than that squish squish, it provides a very clear test result for your doctor, also remember maybe over 40 still request an ultrasound. The breast becomes dense. So if your worried get a second opinion. 9 out of 10 callbacks to have this done again are good. So 90 percent chance of a good result. 
Every 2 years I think is the given time but as we know, you know your host better than anyone. If you haven't had one for awhile it's a good test to do for your own piece of mind.
