Fund Raising Cancer Expenses

Cancer, Bills well that begins at the start. The tests, the surgery and the medical roller coaster begins. The Quotes, well what does it cover. Upfront bills, more bills later and fear!!
I thought the quote meant what I had to pay....WRONG
More bills
Elective surgery - be careful this means you want the surgery and are happy to pay 100% with no refund.
I know its hard to absorb, I am not sure how to clarify this one
VANITY - vein woman flat chested wants show off a fake chest as has no confidence she should pay 100% as is personal choice
CANCER PATIENT- They call a double mastectomy elective!! Just to clarify this I want to have my chest removed by surgery and have no nipples and end up with massive surgery!! I have to pay for hospital, implants, tests and surgery with no medicare refund as I want this surgery......Please inform me who wants this??? Why I have to pay for everything and for go every refund...
Vein woman are show offs and should pay - cancer patients are victims of a pathetic medical system and cancer should not mean. The dollars begin but thats what happens, let the charges begin!
Lucky for friends, Fund raising its hard to raise amazing amounts of money the dishonesty that starts. The quotes. Ok we get a quote!
I forgo my refunds as I elected to have what I had. Hidden charges, more bills than expected where does the nightmare end!
My friends planned 2 fund raisers 1 in Sydney and 1 on the Central Coast!
Zu and Robert kindly offered to run Fund Raiser one in Sydney, a well planned night. Really impressive at Potts Point. Brace yourself for this one, Cheryl  and I thought we had enough money for the surgery of in excess of $20,000 upfront. But in fact people used cards that declined and the amount of money was really hard to raise. We committed to a surgery that we thought was covered, but was a struggle to get that money as the credit cards declined and up until 2 days before the surgery. I had the extra burden of chasing the money and trying to get the money into the plastic surgeons account. They don't do that surgery without the money prepaid. So after Zu and Robert helped me with a kind act. I had the reality of seeing the money raised.....really people are amazing so happy to help but also its a tradgedy that not all are honest.
Fund Raiser 2 Marie Patterson my saviour, we discussed the drama of fund raising and the venue Sirens offered us a EFTPOS machine, all transactions would go through and be processed on the night. So that was great we elimanted any fraud by doing this system. All cards processed on the night.
Bascially I was impressed that my great friends raised $23,000 towards my surgery in those 2 nights. I am grateful to Zu and Robert for their amazing efforts, also to Simone who started my fund raising efforts and to Marie who assisted her to a magnificent night.
Who to thank the list grows...So many to thank..The committee, the volunteers, the assistants on the night!!
The list is huge! This is what I need to say. Thank you so much, you all deserve a thank you. I appreciate everything. Every single one of you deserve a medal.....I thank you so much!! My mind was in a sedate state, I look back now how many bills, the amount of tests the expense. Everyone of you assisted me in surviving this voyage. I need say thank you!!!

Kate Jackson Breast Cancer a flash back

THE MOST MOMENTOUS CHANGE IN Kate Jackson's life began early one morning in January 1987, during her fourth season on the hit TV series Scarecrow and Mrs. King. After a phone call informed her that the show's taping was canceled because costar Bruce Boxleitner had the flu, Jackson went back to sleep. When she woke several hours later, "It was out of the blue, but perfectly clear," she recalls. "I sat up in bed and literally said, 'You have to have a mammogram.' " She did, and two days later a biopsy confirmed her vague fears: A minute growth found in her left breast was determined to be malignant. "I was forced to face, squared up, my own mortality," says Jackson. "I had to decide whether I wanted to live or to die. And if you choose life, as I did, it's never the same." For three TV seasons 16 years ago, she was famous as Sabrina Duncan, a girl-next-door gone glamorous and the character critics dubbed the brainiest o

"Hard nipples" - areola or nipple skin

Someone once wrote"... when i get really cold, or get goosebumbs all over my body, the whole things really scrunch up, like, my entire areola scrunches itself up into a wrinkled little mound. it looks really weird and ugly, and i haven't ever seen other people's breasts do it. what is wrong with my areola/nipples??" The answer: Well nothing is wrong. This is what my areola does too. It's a normal reaction to the coldness or to irritation / stimulation. The little muscles in the areola do a similar goosebump thing as your other skin can do. People often call this phenomenon "hard nipples". Also note that skin on areola has less feeling or sensation to it than other areas of your body. If the areola was very sensitive, then breastfeeding would probably be quite uncomfortable because the baby pulls and tugs it! The nipples are sensitive but the sensitivity changes with hormonal changes, such as occur at mestrual cycle or pregnancy. Also this v

The four stages of breast development

In Stage 1 shows the flat breasts of childhood. By Stage 2, breast buds are formed as milk ducts and fat tissue develop. In Stage 3, the breast become round and full, and the areola darkens. Stage 4 shows fully mature breasts. (Illustration by GGS Information Services.) period begins. Usually these signs are accompanied by the appearance of pubic hair and hair under the arms. Once ovulation and  menstruation  begin, the maturing of the breasts begins with the formation of secretory glands at the end of the milk ducts. The breasts and duct system continue to grow and mature with the development of many glands and lobules. The rate at which breasts grow varies significantly and is different for each young woman. Breast development occurs in five stages: Stage One: In preadolescence, the breasts are flat and only the tip of the nipple is raised. Stage Two: Buds appear, breast and nipple are raised, fat tissue begins to form and the areola (dark area of skin that surrounds
